The Page

Eating at The Page Restaurant, at the elegant and stylish Library Resort, is undoubtedly one of the finest dining experiences to be had on Koh Samui.

The Library resort, in the heart of Chaweng, offers a completely unique vacation experience. The elegant appearance both the Resort and the Restaurant are like nothing else on Koh Samui. The grey-tone restaurant is complimented by the vast white library and the red swimming pool, read in white, swim in red and eat in grey!

The Page Restaurant offers three unique dining environments, the air conditioned walk in Wine Cellar Room, the Beach Front Restaurant and the Terrace Restaurant, that offers stunning ocean views under the shade of the beautiful old trees.

The candlelit tables are beautifully laid, cutlery and napkins can be found in hidden draws, just one of the extra touches that make The Page so unique. The ocean views, floodlit trees and orange lanterns create the most impressive ambiance.

The restaurant staff are extraordinarily attentive but not invasive, and almost invisibly attend to your every need. No sooner had we been seated and our drinks orders taken, bread sticks with delicious dips appeared and were enjoyed while we enjoyed the minimalistic elegance of the restaurant.

The Page has an impressive menu that offers delights from both East and West. The wine list is particularly impressive and offers both new and old world red, white and rose wines as well as both regular and premium house wines. The Page has a fine cocktail selection with the most delicious signature cocktails, such as Tom Yum Rum, a creative combination of Light Rum, Gin, Thai herbs and lime topped up with sprite, and like everything else here is indescribably delicious.

The presentation of the food at The Page is jaw dropping; it seems almost a crime to eat such beautifully presented fine cuisine that resembles fine art more than food!

After a melt in the mouth prawn wanton canapé my Fresh Asparagus Salad with Goats Cheese and Olive Salad arrived along with a fine selection of breads. The salad was elegantly served in three separate shot glasses, one for each ingredient. The taste was every bit as impressive as the presentation.

After the starter we were presented with a delicious ginger sorbet to clean our palate in preparation for the main course, but not even this could have prepared me for it.

The finest Wagyu Beef MBS 9+ is frankly the most impressive main course meal I have ever seen. Without wishing to boast, I have eaten in some of the world’s most prestigious restaurants but nothing, so far, has rivaled this dish in terms of both taste and presentation.

This melt in the mouth work of art is presented on a hand crafted wooden platter along with a fine glass fish bowl containing the freshest salad with shaved parmesan cheese and sun dried tomatoes. Red Wine Sauce, Mushroom and White Wine Sauce and Green Pepper Sauce sit tantalizingly next to the Australian beef that is so tender it defies description. The vegetables burst with flavour and perfectly compliment this incredible dish.

The dessert menu is fit for a king with deliciously tempting dishes such as lavender crème Brulee. These stunningly presented dishes will more than satisfy both the eye and the taste buds. Enjoying the house special, The Library Coffee with Scotch whisky, coffee liquor, espresso, brown sugar and whipping cream is the perfect way to end your meal and the unique dining experience at The Page Restaurant at The Library.

The Page offers all day dining and afternoon tea by the sea. The restaurant warmly welcomes non residents to the resort to enjoy the most exquisite cuisine in one of the most unique and elegant of environments to be found in Koh Samui.
